Key game modes include Road to Glory, where players move from high school recruit to Heisman Trophy winner, and Dynasty, where users can build and manage a college football program, recruit players, and deal with modern features like the transfer portal and NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals. Furthermore, the game adds smarter AI, player substitutions based on game conditions, and realistic systems for fatigue and injuries. There are also new online features that include cross-play support and College Football Ultimate Team, where players can build dream teams using athletes from different schools.
Interestingly, the series began in 1993 as Bill Walsh College Football and later became NCAA Football in 1998. It also became a top sports gaming title alongside EA’s Madden NFL, thanks to features like Dynasty Mode and unique traditions for each school. After a pause in 2013 due to legal issues surrounding the use of real player likenesses (details that closely resembled real college athletes), the series made a strong comeback. In fact, in Fiscal Year 2025, it became a major success by bringing in over $1 billion in net bookings.
Is EA Stock a Good Buy?
