The Dow Jones (DJIA) is set to open Monday’s trading session in the green on signs of progress in the fourth round of US-China trade talks in Madrid, Spain.

The talks have shaped up “very well” between the two sides, President Trump said in a Truth Social post. He added that he would speak to Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday.
Trump Teases TikTok Deal
In addition, Trump hinted at a TikTok deal. The U.S. has extended the deadline to ban the popular short-video app several times, with the current deadline set to September 17.
“A deal was also reached on a ‘certain’ company that young people in our Country very much wanted to save,” Trump said. “They will be very happy!” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent later confirmed that the U.S. and China had reached a framework deal for the app.
