Zambeef Product ( (GB:ZAM) ) just unveiled an update.
Zambeef Products has warned that revenue for the year to 30 September 2026, reported in U.S. dollars, is expected to come in around 20% below market forecasts as it prioritises affordability in a highly price-sensitive environment. Operating profit is now seen about 4% below expectations, with disciplined cost control and a stronger Zambian kwacha partly offsetting the top-line shortfall.
Finance costs are projected to exceed market expectations, and profit before and after tax in U.S. dollars are anticipated to be roughly 36% and 38% below forecasts respectively, driven by softer operating performance and higher borrowing costs. However, the group still expects both profit measures to be comfortably ahead of 2025 levels, helped by stabilised electricity supply, lower reliance on backup power, currency-related savings on imports and active logistics and procurement adjustments to counter fuel and fertiliser cost pressures.
