Z Squared ( (ZSQR) ) has provided an announcement.
On May 19, 2026, Ft. Lauderdale-based Z Squared Inc., a digital infrastructure company expanding from crypto mining into AI-focused data center capacity, detailed its Phase 1 strategy to build 100 megawatts of AI-ready infrastructure for inference workloads over the next 18 months across multiple U.S. sites. The company, recently listed on the Nasdaq Global Market and operating with a virtually debt-free balance sheet, targets NeoCloud and other specialized AI infrastructure operators, providing power, cooling, connectivity and operations while customers supply compute hardware.
The plan centers on an acquire-and-convert model that prioritizes energized, grid-connected sites to shorten time-to-power versus traditional three-to-five-year greenfield developments, with Skycore Digital in North Carolina as the first major step. Z Squared has signed a binding letter of intent to acquire Skycore, which operates about 24 MW of energized capacity with an expansion path to 42 MW, and is evaluating additional targets while stressing staged conversion capital and shareholder-aligned structures to scale rapidly without overextending its balance sheet in a power-constrained AI data center market.
More about Z Squared
Z Squared Inc. is a computing infrastructure company operating advanced equipment across North Carolina, South Carolina and Iowa, with a distributed, facility-agnostic model designed for resilience and rapid scalability. Its current operations include crypto mining, which underpin newer verticals in power generation, data center development and high-performance compute hosting, supported by dynamic power management and in-house hardware lifecycle capabilities.
The company’s infrastructure strategy emphasizes avoiding dependence on single hosting providers, enabling agile redeployment based on power costs and uptime performance.
