Thunderbird Resources ( (AU:XPD) ) has issued an update.
Xpedra Resources has reported promising initial assay results from its maiden reverse circulation drilling program at the Springfield Gold Deposit in New South Wales. The first two drill holes intersected broad, shallow zones of gold mineralisation, including 36 metres at 1.84 grams per tonne from 19 metres and 10 metres at 1.28 grams per tonne from 13 metres, with multiple higher-grade intervals.
Management says the results confirm a robust mineralised system and strengthen confidence in Springfield’s potential to host a significant shallow gold deposit. A total of 27 holes for 2,579 metres have been completed, with assays pending for 25 holes over the next four to six weeks, setting the stage for expanded drilling and potentially reshaping the project’s development prospects.
