Wizz Air Reports High Load Factor Amid Challenges

Wizz Air Holdings (GB:WIZZ) has released an update.

Wizz Air Holdings PLC reported transporting 5.9 million passengers in July 2024, a slight decrease from the previous year, while maintaining a high load factor of 93.8%. Despite being named the Most Sustainable Low-Cost Airline for the fourth year, the airline saw a 2.3% year-over-year increase in CO2 emissions per passenger kilometer, attributed to using an older, less efficient fleet due to engine-related groundings. The company also experienced minor disruptions from a global system outage affecting approximately 1% of its flights.
