Wizz Air Holdings reported a slight increase in passenger transport for June 2024, with 5.3 million passengers contributing to a modest 0.4% seat capacity increase year-over-year. Despite maintaining its position as a leading airline for lower emissions per passenger kilometer, the company saw a 4.2% rise in CO2 emissions per passenger kilometer due to the use of older aircraft and smaller leased planes. The airline’s total fleet expanded to 218 aircraft, with future growth potentially affected by Airbus manufacturing updates.
