Winshear Gold ( (TSE:WINS) ) has provided an update.

Winshear Metals has secured $169,892 in non-dilutive funding from the Ontario government’s Ontario Junior Exploration Program, covering half of its qualifying exploration costs at the Thunder Bay Project near the city of Thunder Bay. The program aims to stimulate mineral exploration investment, economic growth and job creation, with a focus on northern and Indigenous communities.

The funding will support Winshear’s 2026 work program at Thunder Bay, where the company is advancing gold and critical mineral targets across a 360-square-kilometre underexplored Archaean granite-greenstone terrain. Planned activities include detailed infill soil sampling and airborne magnetic surveys to refine four key gold targets, potentially enhancing the project’s drill readiness and strengthening Winshear’s exploration footprint in Ontario.

Spark’s Take on WINS Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, WINS is a Neutral.

The score is primarily held down by weak financial performance (no revenue, ongoing losses, and renewed cash burn alongside declining equity). Technicals are a partial offset with the stock trading above key moving averages and a neutral-to-bullish RSI, but the negative/limited valuation signals (loss-driven negative P/E and no dividend data) keep the overall rating subdued.
