Cedar Realty Trust and Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust jointly announced a legal victory as the Fourth Circuit Court upheld the dismissal of a class action lawsuit filed by Cedar’s preferred stockholders. The appellate court’s decision affirmed that no legal rights were violated, allowing both companies to focus on their strategic plans. Cedar, now a subsidiary of Wheeler, specializes in grocery-anchored retail properties in the Northeast, while Wheeler aims to operate income-producing retail properties. This resolution clears a significant hurdle for both entities as they continue to execute their growth strategies.
