Westpac Banking ( (AU:WBC) ) has provided an announcement.
Westpac Banking Corporation and its associated entities have reduced their substantial holding in Pengana Private Equity Trust, lowering their voting power from 6.80% to 5.71%. The change reflects adjustments made primarily through BT Funds Management and Westpac Financial Services, which manage superannuation funds and investment schemes that hold PE1 units.
Following a series of transactions between January 2025 and April 2026, Westpac’s funds now control 15,248,495 ordinary units in the Pengana Private Equity Trust. While Westpac remains a significant investor, the reduced stake marginally lessens its influence over the trust’s unitholder decisions, signalling a recalibration of exposure to this listed private equity vehicle rather than a full strategic exit.
The most recent analyst rating on (AU:WBC) stock is a Sell with a A$34.40 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Westpac Banking stock, see the AU:WBC Stock Forecast page.
