Target Capital ( (TSE:WGT) ) has issued an update.
Westgate Energy Inc. plans to launch a TSX Venture Exchange–approved warrant exercise incentive program covering 16.24 million outstanding warrants, encouraging early exercise over a 30-day window in exchange for additional incentive warrants and potentially raising up to about $3.9 million. The anticipated proceeds are earmarked for pre-drilling costs tied to a possible spring drilling program, cost reduction initiatives at its Beaverdam asset, and general working capital, while the company reports rising production toward roughly 850 boe/d, strong performance from its latest Colony Formation well, and commissioning of a new tank treating facility that is already lowering operating costs and improving oil capture.
Operationally, Westgate highlights that its newest Colony Formation well has set a new peak rate above 180 bbls/d, reinforcing the importance of this zone as the main driver of its drilling inventory at Beaverdam. The newly commissioned tank treating facility, which can service up to 25 additional wells, is expected to further enhance recovery and reduce operating costs, positioning the company to capitalize on future drilling and production growth if the incentive program successfully bolsters its balance sheet.
