An update from Wescan Goldfields ( (TSE:WGF) ) is now available.
Wescan Goldfields Inc. has announced a leadership reshuffle, appointing former chief financial officer W. Connor MacNeill as president and chief executive officer, while long-time CEO Ken MacNeill moves into the role of executive chairman. The transition aims to maintain continuity in strategy and oversight as Connor MacNeill, already active in corporate strategy and capital markets, takes charge of ongoing operations.
The company also named Jeff Sheppard as its new chief financial officer, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the Canadian junior resource sector and expertise in capital markets, tax and M&A to the finance role. In tandem with the management changes, Wescan granted 1.9 million stock options to directors, officers and consultants at an exercise price of $0.19, a step that aligns key stakeholders’ incentives with the company’s growth prospects, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
