Wellington Management Company LLP has reduced its voting interest in Irish Continental Group to 2.99%, equivalent to 4,446,345 voting rights attached to shares. The position, held through a chain of Wellington-controlled entities, is below the previous disclosed level of 3.94%, signaling a notable trim in the asset manager’s stake.

The change in holding, notified under Irish transparency regulations, leaves Wellington without any additional exposure via financial instruments. This reduction may slightly diminish Wellington’s influence in shareholder decisions at Irish Continental, though the company’s overall ownership structure remains widely held, with total voting rights at 148,432,980.
