Vortex Metals has engaged New-Sense Geophysics to conduct a high-resolution helicopter-borne geophysical survey at its Illapel Copper Project in Chile’s Coquimbo Region, part of the country’s Coastal Metallogenic Belt. The work will generate detailed magnetic, radiometric and VLF data to map geology, alteration and structural controls linked to copper mineralization.
The survey is designed to validate existing mapping, identify structural corridors and alteration systems, refine targeting of Manto-type stratabound deposits, and produce prioritized targets for follow-up exploration and drilling. Management frames the program as a key step in a data-driven strategy to advance Illapel toward high-potential drill targets and strengthen the company’s position in one of the world’s premier copper-producing regions.
