Vortex Metals Inc ( (TSE:VMS) ) has issued an announcement.
Vortex Metals Inc. has completed its Phase 1 exploration at the Illapel Copper Project in Chile, executing an eight-hole diamond drill program totaling 2,025 meters. The drilling revealed lower grade sulphide mineralization, with notable intercepts of disseminated pyrite, chalcopyrite, chalcocite, and bornite. A significant intercept in hole DVM-08 demonstrated strong chalcocite and bornite mineralization, suggesting potential for a larger manto-style lens. Vortex is planning additional drilling and geophysics to explore further. The project aims to leverage copper mineralization along NNE-trending structures and investigate IOCG targets, aligning with deposits like the nearby El Espino IOCG Deposit. The findings affirm Vortex’s geological model and guide future exploration strategies.
