Volvo Group and Westport Fuel Systems Inc. have inaugurated a significant joint venture, focusing on the promotion and accelerated commercialization of Westport’s HPDI™ fuel system technology for cleaner, sustainable transportation solutions. The partnership aims to reduce carbon emissions by advancing IC engines powered by renewable fuels and hydrogen. The collaboration has already led to thousands of Volvo trucks equipped with HPDI systems across Europe, significantly cutting CO2 emissions annually.
