The latest announcement is out from Volt Resources Ltd ( (AU:VRC) ).
Volt Resources’ Zavalievsky Graphite operation in Ukraine has successfully restarted its purification circuit after a winter shutdown, completing a high-purity graphite production campaign using externally sourced African flake graphite. The campaign produced 19.14 tonnes of graphite with 99.60–99.75% purity and an 87% yield across three batches, validating the robustness of its processing technology and its ability to handle diverse feedstock.
All of the high-purity graphite output has been sold to a European battery customer at US$3,000 per tonne with partial prepayment, reinforcing Volt’s role in the European battery supply chain. The performance supports the company’s feed-flexible strategy for its planned Alabama Graphite Refinery and highlights the operational resilience of the Ukrainian asset despite a challenging local environment, with further deliveries and orders targeting U.S. customers next.
