The latest update is out from VivoPower ( (VIVO) ).
On April 23, 2026, VivoPower said it has begun a competitive request-for-proposals process to lease capacity at the 41.5MW Mo i Rana data center in northern Norway, days after closing the acquisition on April 21. The fully operational facility, powered by low-cost renewable hydroelectricity and located in a cold Nordic climate, has drawn strong interest from AI neocloud operators and hyperscalers and can potentially be expanded to more than 80MW, subject to regulatory approval.
Management, supported by external advisers, will assess potential tenants on commercial terms, credit strength, operational fit with the site and alignment with VivoPower’s sovereign AI infrastructure strategy, including options for future capacity growth. The company expects new tenant agreements to enhance the economics of the Mo i Rana asset, which currently generates about $31 million in annual revenue and $10 million in EBITDA, strengthening VivoPower’s positioning in the fast-growing AI data center market while leveraging its Power-to-X model and ultra-low power costs.
Spark’s Take on VIVO Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, VIVO is a Neutral.
Overall score is held down primarily by very weak financial performance (losses, leverage/instability, and negative operating/free cash flow). Technical indicators are moderately supportive in the near term but are not strong enough to offset fundamental risks. Valuation is difficult to justify with a negative P/E and no dividend support.
