Viva Energy Group Ltd. ( (AU:VEA) ) has shared an update.

Viva Energy has reported a fire in the Alkylation Unit of the Gasoline complex at its Geelong Refinery, which occurred on the evening of 15 April and was fully extinguished the following morning without injuries. Key processing units such as the crude distillation units and reformer were unaffected, though the residue catalytic cracking unit is currently offline while operations are stabilised.

In the near term, the refinery expects to operate at about 80% capacity for diesel and jet fuel and 60% for petrol, but says existing fuel stocks should allow it to maintain normal supply to customers. The company aims to restart the residue catalytic cracking unit within weeks, lift output to more than 90% of capacity while repairs proceed, and has begun assessing damage and financial impact under insurance coverage, underscoring Geelong’s strategic importance and the company’s commitment to restoring full operations.

The most recent analyst rating on (AU:VEA) stock is a Hold with a A$2.15 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Viva Energy Group Ltd. stock, see the AU:VEA Stock Forecast page.
