Viridis Taps Former Neo and Molycorp Chief to Steer Colossus Rare Earths Push

The latest announcement is out from Viridis Mining and Minerals Limited ( (AU:VMM) ).

Viridis Mining and Minerals has strengthened its board with the appointment of former Neo Performance Materials and Molycorp chief executive Geoff Bedford as an independent non-executive director, following the retirement of Tim Harrison. The move brings deep experience across the rare earth value chain, global operations and advanced materials to support the company’s multi-commodity portfolio spanning Brazil, Canada and Australia.

Bedford’s background includes leading major Western rare earths groups, overseeing operations from mining and separation to magnetics and downstream processing, and raising more than US$1.25 billion in global capital markets. His appointment comes as Viridis advances the Colossus Rare Earth Project toward a final investment decision, with his expertise expected to help secure offtake agreements, structure project financing, de-risk development and bolster Viridis’s ambitions as a leading Western rare earth supplier.
