Verdera Energy Corp. ( (TSE:V) ) just unveiled an update.

Verdera Energy has acquired Kerr-McGee’s historic New Mexico uranium database, adding decades of drill logs, maps and geological reports from a former dominant U.S. producer to its existing Uranium Resources dataset. Combined with an exclusive agreement to use Executive Chair William Sheriff’s extensive private collections, the deal creates what the company describes as the largest proprietary uranium exploration and development database in New Mexico.

This consolidated data trove, covering work by at least thirteen companies, gives Verdera a significant edge in evaluating its large uranium and mineral rights portfolio, generating new prospects and potentially marketing information to peers lacking such records. Management argues the move cements Verdera’s role as a key uranium player in New Mexico at a time when the state is viewed as a critical district for the U.S. nuclear renaissance and domestic energy security.
