Veidekke ASA ( (GB:0GF6) ) has issued an announcement.
Veidekke subsidiary Leif Grimsrud has secured a civil works contract from Norwegian rail infrastructure manager Bane NOR for preparatory works in central Moss, valued at just over NOK 300 million excluding VAT. The mandate covers operation and maintenance of the construction site, water treatment facilities, internal roads and other infrastructure, as well as ground reinforcement, utilities relocation, road realignments, and sheet piling and bracing ahead of larger main contracts.
The project also includes establishing a temporary bridge and track-area preparations, with construction set to start in June and finish in autumn 2028, reflecting a multi-year commitment in a complex urban environment. The deal, which will be added to Veidekke’s order book in the first quarter of 2026, strengthens the company’s position in Norwegian rail-related civil engineering and underlines Bane NOR’s confidence in the local contractor’s experience with the specific challenges of Moss city centre.
