Veidekke ASA has received regulatory approval to complete its acquisition of asphalt contractor Nord Vei og Asfalt AS in Troms County, bolstering its asphalting operations in a region where demand is expected to remain strong. Veidekke is buying 100% of the company’s shares for about NOK 60 million on a debt-free basis, funded from existing liquidity.
Nord Vei og Asfalt, founded in 2022 and employing 37 people at its crews and asphalt plant in Storsteinnes, reported revenue of NOK 236 million and operating profit of NOK 38 million in 2025, up from NOK 98 million and NOK 11 million respectively the previous year. The transaction enhances Veidekke’s regional footprint and secures profitable capacity in a growing local market, supporting the group’s broader strategy in Nordic infrastructure and asphalt production.
