Vanquis Banking Group ( (GB:VANQ) ) has issued an announcement.
Vanquis Banking Group has launched a tender offer to buy back a portion of its £200m Fixed Rate Reset Subordinated Tier 2 Notes due 2032 for cash, offering 101.80% of principal plus accrued interest on notes accepted. The deal is designed to run alongside a planned issue of new sterling-denominated Tier 2 subordinated notes, with the amount repurchased capped at the size of the new issue and subject to pro-rata scaling if oversubscribed.
The bank says the move is aimed at optimising its capital base and reducing excess Tier 2 capital relative to regulatory limits, thereby improving the efficiency of its capital structure and managing interest expense. Investors tendering notes may receive priority in the allocation of the new notes, but final acceptance, deal size and use of proceeds remain at the company’s sole discretion, underlining the issuer’s tight control over its funding profile and liability management.
The most recent analyst rating on (GB:VANQ) stock is a Buy with a £165.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Vanquis Banking Group stock, see the GB:VANQ Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on VANQ Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, VANQ is a Neutral.
The score is held back primarily by elevated balance-sheet leverage and weak technical momentum, despite a clear earnings recovery. Earnings-call guidance and capital strength provide support, but valuation (high P/E) and continued execution/credit risks limit upside confidence.
