USITC Backs Ferroglobe in Preliminary Trade Ruling

Ferroglobe PLC (GSM) has released an update.

The U.S. International Trade Commission has made a preliminary determination that imports of ferrosilicon from Brazil, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, and Russia are harming the American industry, supporting the allegations of unfair pricing made by domestic producers CC Metals and Ferroglobe. These imports are considered critical to national security as they are essential in steel and foundry product manufacturing. The decision signals progress towards protecting U.S. market fairness and jobs, with further investigations by the Department of Commerce ongoing.
