US Solar Fund ( (GB:USF) ) has shared an update.
US Solar Fund reported a 4.1% decline in audited net asset value to $186.2m, or $0.60 per share, for 2025, as positive power price forecasts were outweighed by weaker operating and generation assumptions. The portfolio generated 676 GWh, 11.7% below budget due largely to unplanned outages, and the board has made operational recovery and improving cash generation its immediate priority.
The company secured new senior debt facilities, keeping gearing at about 40% and removing near-term refinancing risk, but will pause regular dividends after declaring a reduced Q4 2025 payout of 0.255 cents per share to preserve liquidity and strengthen the balance sheet. Against a challenging U.S. policy backdrop that is constraining new renewables development but may support long-term power prices, the board has concluded current market conditions do not justify a portfolio sale and will recommend shareholders vote against a wind-up resolution at the forthcoming AGM.
The most recent analyst rating on (GB:USF) stock is a Hold with a $0.33 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on US Solar Fund stock, see the GB:USF Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on USF Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, USF is a Neutral.
The score is held back primarily by deteriorating financial performance (losses and shrinking equity) and weak technical momentum. A conservative, debt-free balance sheet and ongoing positive cash generation provide support, while the high dividend yield helps, but recent below-forecast portfolio performance adds operational risk.
