An announcement from Orsted ( (DOGEF) ) is now available.
A U.S. federal court has granted a preliminary injunction allowing Ørsted’s wholly owned subsidiary Sunrise Wind LLC to resume construction activities on the Sunrise Wind project, which had been halted by a December 2025 suspension order from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management. The ruling enables immediate restart of impacted work on the New York-focused offshore wind project, seen as important for delivering affordable, reliable power to the state, while litigation over the federal suspension continues and Ørsted seeks a durable resolution with the U.S. administration, reinforcing the company’s position in the U.S. offshore wind market.
