US Copper Corp revealed positive outcomes from its 15-hole drilling program at the Moonlight deposit, part of the Moonlight-Superior Copper Project in California, discovering a copper oxide cap with high-grade, recoverable copper. This cap was previously considered waste but now shows potential for low-cost, low-impact mining. The company is now assessing the economic feasibility of mining this oxide layer, which is timely given copper’s recent addition to the U.S. critical minerals list.
