UOB ( (SG:U11) ) has provided an update.

UOB reported steady performance in the first quarter of 2026, underpinned by disciplined balance sheet management and a resilient core franchise across its regional network. Customer loans rose 4% year-on-year to SGD354 billion, while customer deposits reached SGD427 billion, keeping the loan-to-deposit ratio at a conservative 81.9% and supporting a net interest margin of 1.82%.

The bank’s capital and liquidity positions remain robust, with a Common Equity Tier 1 ratio of 15.3%, a leverage ratio of 7.0%, and strong liquidity coverage and stable funding metrics that compare favourably with regional and global peers. Management highlighted a proven track record through past crises, continued integration of recent Citi consumer banking acquisitions in ASEAN, and a focus on risk controls and regional expansion that helps sustain returns on equity of 11.5% and reinforces UOB’s position as a stable, regionally integrated Asian bank.
