United Oil & Gas Plc has addressed recent speculations in Jamaican media, clarifying that no commercial oil or gas discovery has been made at its Walton Morant licence as no wells have been drilled. The company, which holds a 100% interest in the licence, is actively looking for a strategic partner and is currently focused on piston core sampling as part of its 2024 work programme. CEO Brian Larkin expressed commitment to the licence’s potential, noting the ongoing efforts to understand the resource prospects and interest from potential partners.
