The latest announcement is out from Uni-Asia Group Ltd. ( (SG:CHJ) ).
Uni-Asia Group Limited has provided an operational update on the bulk carrier M/V Glengyle, owned via its wholly owned subsidiary Mable Bulkship S.A., following an earlier incident. After being towed to Vung Tau anchorage, the vessel received clearance to leave Vietnamese waters on 15 January 2026 aboard a heavy lift vessel, arrived at a repair yard in Zhoushan, China, and was safely floated off on 25 January 2026 for permanent repairs. Preliminary assessments from the repair yard indicate that repairs are expected to be completed around mid-March 2026, subject to final scheduling, completion of required works, and regulatory, classification and insurance approvals, while investigations into the cause of the incident remain ongoing, with further updates to be provided in due course.
