UBS Group AG has announced a significant change in its executive leadership. Mike Dargan, the Group Chief Operations and Technology Officer, will step down at the end of December 2025 to pursue opportunities outside the company. Consequently, the Group Technology function will now report to Beatriz Martin, the new Group Chief Operating Officer, starting January 1, 2026. This restructuring aims to enhance operational efficiency and prioritize technology and AI initiatives. The interim head of Group Technology will be Chris Gelvin, who will continue his role as Chief Operating Officer of Group Technology. These changes are expected to support UBS’s strategic shift towards AI and digitization, potentially impacting the company’s market positioning and operational dynamics.
