The latest announcement is out from Nicola Mining ( (TSE:NIM) ).

Nicola Mining announced that a University of British Columbia Master’s thesis has reclassified its New Craigmont asset as a porphyry-linked skarn system genetically associated with Late Triassic magmatism in the Guichon Creek batholith. The study identifies distinct hydrothermal stages and alteration styles, indicating the presence of a separate porphyry centre at New Craigmont, independent from the nearby Highland Valley district.

Geochemical and mineral chemistry data from the thesis support Nicola’s long-held hypothesis that the historic Craigmont skarn is driven by an adjacent porphyry system and narrow exploration focus to two key target areas, West Craigmont and east of the historical mine. The company is incorporating the Mineral Deposit Research Unit’s findings into ongoing vectoring and target generation work, bolstering management’s confidence as it prepares to launch its 2026 exploration program at New Craigmont.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:NIM) stock is a Buy with a C$1.25 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Nicola Mining stock, see the TSE:NIM Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on NIM Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, NIM is a Neutral.

The score is held back primarily by weak financial performance—persistent losses, negative gross profit, negative equity, and recent cash burn—despite improved revenue and lower debt. Technicals are supportive with a clear uptrend, but overbought signals add near-term risk. Valuation remains challenged because profitability is negative and there is no dividend support.
