Truth Social ( (DJT) ) just unveiled an announcement.

On April 21, 2026, Trump Media & Technology Group announced that advisor Kevin J. McGurn had been appointed interim chief executive officer, replacing Devin Nunes as principal executive officer and board chair, under a nine‑month employment agreement that includes a substantial monthly salary and time‑based RSU grant. On the same day, the company entered into a separation agreement with Nunes that ended all of his roles, provided salary continuation through September 30, 2026 and accelerated vesting of a portion of his restricted stock units while cancelling his remaining unvested equity.

McGurn, a veteran of Hulu, Vevo, T‑Mobile and multiple SPACs, has been advising Trump Media on social media, streaming and M&A since December 2024 and previously led Yorkville Acquisition Corp., which is party to Trump Media’s planned Cronos‑focused digital asset treasury transaction announced in August 2025. His appointment, along with the April 24, 2026 addition of fund‑raiser Meredith O’Rourke and Trump adviser Boris Epshteyn to the board, signals a leadership reshuffle that deepens the company’s ties to Donald Trump’s political network and capital‑markets intermediaries as it pursues growth across social media, streaming and digital‑asset‑driven financial services.
