Tricon Residential Inc. shareholders have overwhelmingly approved a buyout by Blackstone Real Estate, with over 99% in favor of the US$11.25 per share deal. The transaction is pending a final court order and regulatory approval, with completion expected in the second quarter of this year. Post-acquisition, Tricon plans to delist from the NYSE and TSX and will cease to be a reporting issuer.
