Trelleborg AB ( ($SE:TREL.B) ) has provided an update.
Trelleborg AB has repurchased 84,000 series B shares on Nasdaq Stockholm between May 11 and May 15, 2026, as part of its previously announced buyback program of up to 7.5 million shares worth a maximum of SEK 2 billion. The transactions, executed by DNB Carnegie Investment Bank, bring the company’s treasury holding to 1,409,493 series B shares out of a total 224,901,029 shares outstanding, and are intended to optimize capital structure and support the 2026/2028 Performance Share Program.
The company plans to cancel the repurchased shares not needed for its performance share incentives via future annual general meeting decisions, aiming to enhance shareholder value over time. The buybacks are being carried out under the EU Market Abuse and Safe Harbour regulations, underscoring Trelleborg’s adherence to regulatory standards as it deploys excess capital to bolster returns for investors and underpin long-term incentive commitments.
