Transocean ( (RIG) ) has issued an announcement.
Transocean Ltd. has secured a lucrative $232 million contract with bp to employ their Deepwater Atlas drillship in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico for a year, starting in the second quarter of 2028, with an option to extend for another year. This deal enhances Transocean’s backlog and underscores their position as a leader in ultra-deepwater and harsh environment drilling services with a fleet of 34 high-specification offshore drilling units.
