TotalEnergies Signs Decade-Long LNG Deal with BOTAŞ

TotalEnergies SE (FR:TTE) has released an update.

TotalEnergies SE has secured a major deal to supply 1.1 million tons of LNG annually to BOTAŞ, a Turkish energy company, for a decade starting in 2027, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Turkish market. The agreement aligns with TotalEnergies’ strategy to increase natural gas in its sales mix to 50% by 2030, aiming to reduce emissions and support the transition from coal to natural gas. This move also protects TotalEnergies from the volatility of spot market gas prices and underscores its position as the world’s third largest LNG player with a diverse global portfolio.
