TotalEnergies, in partnership with QatarEnergy, has been awarded the Ahara exploration license in Algeria, marking a new chapter in its collaboration with SONATRACH. The license, located at the intersection of the Berkine and Illizi Basins, will see TotalEnergies as the operator during the Exploration and Appraisal phases with a 24.5% interest. This development is expected to strengthen TotalEnergies’ position in the Algerian energy sector and enhance its long-standing partnership with SONATRACH, contributing to the country’s economic development.
