TotalEnergies SE Invests in U.S. Forestry Sustainability

TotalEnergies SE (FR:TTE) has released an update.

TotalEnergies SE has committed $100 million to sustainable forestry partnerships in the U.S., aiming to enhance carbon storage, biodiversity, and natural habitats through Improved Forest Management practices across 300,000 hectares. The initiative will generate carbon credits for TotalEnergies to offset a portion of its direct emissions post-2030. The company has aligned itself with the U.S. government’s principles on Voluntary Carbon Markets to bolster market integrity and transparency.
