TotalEnergies has entered into a partnership with Norwegian investment firm HitecVision by selling 50% of its Polish biogas leader, Polska Grupa Biogazowa (PGB), for €190 million. This strategic move aims to enhance PGB’s growth in Poland’s rapidly developing biogas market, with plans to expand its biomethane production capacity to 2 TWh by 2030. The collaboration is expected to leverage complementary skills from both companies, contributing to the decarbonization efforts in Poland and the EU while maximizing investment profitability.
