Tivan Limited has successfully established a joint venture with Sumitomo Corporation for the Speewah Fluorite Project in Western Australia, following the completion of all necessary conditions for the initial investment tranche. The Japan Fluorite Corporation, a subsidiary of Sumitomo, has invested $5.3 million for a 7.5% equity interest, which will fund a feasibility study for the project. Additionally, the Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC) has become a strategic equity partner, acquiring a 49% stake in JFC. This partnership marks a significant achievement for Tivan, strengthening its position in the critical minerals sector and enhancing bilateral relations between Australia and Japan.
