Thor Explorations ( (TSE:THX) ) has issued an update.
Thor Explorations has reported the first drilling results from its 2026 campaign at the Douta Gold Project in Senegal, confirming high-grade, shallow oxide mineralisation across the Baraka 3, Makosa Tail and Bousankhoba areas. The work follows completion of a pre-feasibility study earlier this year and targets both extensions of existing deposits and new prospects within three contiguous licences.
Key intercepts include 7 metres at 4.28 g/t gold at Baraka 3 and 4 metres at 17.0 g/t at the Bousankhoba prospect, indicating scope to expand the current oxide resource base and improve overall project economics. Management expects the 40,000-metre program to upgrade inferred resources within pit shells, extend the oxide mine life and enhance reserves, with post-PFS work advancing toward full permitting and a planned construction start later in the year.
