Terrain Minerals Ltd ( (AU:TMX) ) has provided an announcement.
Terrain Minerals has commenced a follow-up 1,500-metre air-core drilling campaign at its 100%-owned Lort River Project in Western Australia, targeting a shallow regolith clay basin interpreted from airborne electromagnetic data. The program aims to step out from a previously reported high-grade rare earth intersection and test multiple priority zones within a 66-square-kilometre basin for scale and grade consistency.
The company reports that the basin correlates with known REE-bearing regolith horizons and has delivered strong magnet rare earth element values in earlier drilling, supporting its strategy to advance Lort River as a clay-hosted rare earth discovery. Management notes this work is being undertaken in a limited seasonal window while Smokebush remains the primary focus, positioning Lort River as a potential emerging critical minerals opportunity in the Esperance region and refining future drill targeting through the correlation of geophysical and geochemical data.
