Telefonica Brasil ( (VIV) ) just unveiled an update.
On March 12, 2026, Telefônica Brasil held its 62nd Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting in São Paulo, with shareholders representing about 92.84% of common shares present or voting remotely. The meeting was duly called and supported by the Audit and Control Committee, Fiscal Board and Board of Directors, which had all reviewed and endorsed the matters on the agenda.
Shareholders approved, by majority, a R$4 billion reduction in the company’s capital, lowering it from R$60.07 billion to R$56.07 billion, without canceling shares and with cash reimbursement to shareholders. The reduction, justified as an excess of capital under Brazilian corporate law, will be executed via a payment of roughly R$1.2517 per common share based on the share base as of December 31, 2025, leaving the number of shares and ownership percentages unchanged and signaling a return of surplus capital to investors.
The most recent analyst rating on (VIV) stock is a Hold with a $16.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Telefonica Brasil stock, see the VIV Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on VIV Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, VIV is a Outperform.
The score is driven primarily by solid financial fundamentals (notably strong cash generation) and a constructive earnings-call outlook focused on cash conversion and shareholder returns. Technicals are supportive but overbought, and valuation is the main drag due to a relatively high P/E versus a moderate dividend yield.
