The latest announcement is out from Technology Minerals PLC ( (GB:TM1) ).
Technology Minerals has announced that new separation equipment at its 48.35%-owned Recyclus facility in Wolverhampton is now operational, allowing the recovery of copper and aluminium as discrete, saleable outputs alongside black mass in a single continuous process. This upgrade marks a notable operational and efficiency gain, adding material value per tonne processed and strengthening Recyclus’s role as the UK’s first industrial-scale lithium-ion battery recycler.
To fund rapid installation, Technology Minerals extended a £100,000 short-term bridge loan to Recyclus, which is expected to be repaid by late July 2026 from proceeds generated by reprocessing around 180 tonnes of legacy material on site. Management highlights that primary processing has continued largely uninterrupted, and the enhanced recovery of black mass, copper and aluminium is expected to materially boost revenue per tonne, underscoring a strategy of extracting maximum value from existing capacity while advancing further strategic initiatives.
