An update from T&D Holdings ( (JP:8795) ) is now available.

T&D Holdings has disclosed that its T&D Insurance Group recorded total unrealized losses of ¥1.77 trillion on held-to-maturity and policy-reserve-matching securities as of March 31, 2026, a level far exceeding its most recent consolidated ordinary profit and profit attributable to owners of the parent. Despite the sharp mark-to-market decline driven by rising interest rates, the company emphasized that these bonds are matched to insurance liabilities whose economic value also falls as rates rise, so it sees no direct deterioration in financial soundness and is leaving its earnings and dividend forecasts for the current fiscal year unchanged at this stage.

The book value of the assessed securities stood at roughly ¥6.80 trillion against a market value of about ¥5.03 trillion, with total net unrealized losses on these positions reaching approximately ¥1.77 trillion after offsetting modest unrealized gains. Management indicated that it will promptly update investors if disclosure-worthy developments emerge, signaling close monitoring of market conditions but, for now, continuity in operational plans and capital policy despite the sizable valuation swing in its bond portfolio.

The most recent analyst rating on (JP:8795) stock is a Buy with a Yen4300.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on T&D Holdings stock, see the JP:8795 Stock Forecast page.
