Surefire Resources NL ( (AU:SRN) ) just unveiled an update.
Surefire Resources NL has detailed its response to an ASX query over the resignation of CEO Dr Whitehead, who stepped down effective 19 March 2026 after only about 24 days in the role. Executive Chairman Vladimir Nikolaenko remained closely involved in strategic management, and the company engaged Rowntree Pty Ltd and principal Marcus Flis to ensure operational continuity.
The company conceded that the CEO change was market-sensitive and should have been disclosed promptly, acknowledging that its continuous disclosure practices fell short of best practice. Surefire said it initially treated the situation as incomplete and uncertain under the ASX listing rules while departure terms and transition arrangements were being settled, but accepted that the subsequent delay until its 26 March 2026 announcement was inconsistent with its disclosure obligations.
