Sumitomo Mitsui Issues 5.836% Notes Due 2044

Sumitomo Mitsui (SMFG) has released an update.

Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. has issued 5.836% subordinated notes due in 2044, which are global securities and will be registered in the name of a nominee of The Depository Trust Company. Interest payments on these securities are subject to Japanese withholding tax, except under certain conditions where the holder may be exempt. The securities are non-redeemable prior to maturity and rank equally with other subordinated indebtedness of the issuer.
