Sumitomo Bakelite Co., Ltd. has announced that Sumitomo Chemical, an affiliated company, will be transferring a portion of its common shares in Sumitomo Bakelite to GIC Private Limited. This transaction is considered a secondary distribution of shares and will result in a change of an affiliated company, with the deal involving over 6.5 million shares at a price of 3,476 yen each. The transfer, which amounts to a total of approximately 22.66 billion yen, will take place on September 20, 2024.
